India’s Tokyo Olympics Schedule for 6th August: Bajrang Punia kickstarts his campaign, women’s hockey team plays for Bronze

 The Indian athletes pulled off a historic day on August 5 at the Tokyo Olympic Games with the bronze medal in men’s hockey and silver medal from wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya. However, grapplers Vinesh Phogat and Deepak Punia bowed out from the tournament after not performing as per the set expectations.

Coming to the schedule for day 15 at Tokyo 2020, the Indian contingent will participate in as many as three athletics events. Moreover, golfers Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar will be back in action for round three while wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Seema Bisla will begin their respective journeys. Most importantly, the women’s hockey team will be up against Great Britain for the bronze medal match.
